The South & West Wales Shetland Pony Group
has been
in existence for several years now and strives to provide a friendly
and helpful service for its members.

We run currently three shows a year:
- an indoor Spring show which proves useful for
youngstock and newly broken to ride ponies
- a busy outdoor Summer Show
- and to finish the season off another indoor
event which generally ends up with some very enthusiastic novelty
classes!
We award Members rosettes at several of the
Agricultural Shows in our area and run two Points Schemes, all
of which seems to be popular with our Members.
 Periodically we put on a "teach-in" which new and
old exhibitors find useful and, weather permitting, a BBQ and
"Fun day" for
our younger members.
A Christmas Dinner with Points Awards finishes off
our
year with several socials throughout the Winter. We have a
very busy
Newsletter Editor who organises three Newsletters a year to include a
children's section and a "Vet's Question & Answer" column.
New Members are always very welcome, whether they
are
new to the area or new to showing and breeding. Anyone visiting this
beautiful part of Wales would be made very welcome by our Group.
